Do you ever get the feeling (or smelling, as it were) that maybe your home might have an odor? Certainly, there are odor hot spots that can make us cringe; the bathroom, the sink, the trash can. Can you relate? We certainly can and recently our big outdoor trash can had taken on a monstrous odor. So much so that everyone dreaded actually having to open the lid. Yes, it was that powerful. Luckily for us, Natural House had asked us if we'd like to try out their revolutionary new natural household cleaning products that clean the parts of your home you'd rather forget about. The Natural House probiotic cleaners are named Trashy, Sinky and Flushy. Clever names we thought. Heck ya, we'd love to I said! Clean that monster trash can odor? Bring it on! Could this possibly work? We set out on a month-long mission to find out. Trashy, Sinky and Flushy are non-toxic and safe for use in your home yet strong enough to use in a commercial setting. Here's some additional...

Have you noticed that letters are all the rage these days?  We see them everywhere, in cards, scrapbooking and fun home decor.   Photographer Jodi Gerber of ArtisticLetters has created an entire catalog of black & white letter images throughout the past 3 years – all by taking photos of objects in nature that resembled letters of the alphabet . She recently decided to offer her ENTIRE catalog of 250+ letter images to the public on CD or Download so that anyone could create their own designs!   It’s a truly original way to make artwork for your home - or even for scrapbooking, greeting cards, and digital designs consisting of wedding invitations , baby’s birth, etc.).  Endless possibilities for whatever the mind can imagine! We decided to create a home decor project with ArtisticLetters and take advantage of these gorgeous images.  First, we picked up a wood sign at the local thrift store for $1.50.  We'll be covering up the e...

Sponsored by Tomoson.com Black Diamond Granite Cleaner Review and Giveaway The worst thing ever is to clean your home to a brilliant shine and oops! all the shiny surfaces are streaked. No matter how much you wipe, with some cleaners you can't get rid of that "hey look at me I was just cleaned (sort of)!" rainbow streak.  It's annoying.  And depressing.  Well, not with Black Diamond Granite Cleaner !  Seriously, it leaves NO streaks of any kind and marble, granite and tile are left with a clean clear and classy surface. Plus a big bonus, no rinsing required! We tried out the Black Diamond Granite Cleaner on both shiny black granite tile as well as ceramic tile.  The pH neutral cleaner worked fantastic on both surfaces.  We were happy to learn that by using this cleaner, the factory finish is maintained and it will not harm any sealers.  It is also 100% biodegradable and safe for daily use on all your kitchen, bathroom and other counter tops a...

A little touch of Valentine's!  This was much needed at my house especially since we just took down the Christmas tree.  (I know, sadly pathetic.) I was so happy when I received this fun fun fun banner (or bunting) in the mail today.  Lacey at Stinkbug Designs sent this to me and I just love it!!  I immediately put it up in the entry way as it seemed the perfect place. Are you decorating for Valentine's?  What fun goodies have you put up to celebrate?

Today is a weird day.  Not because it's Super Bowl Sunday, either.  My poor husband woke me up this morning looking very frantic.  He'd eaten some pistachio nuts and had an allergic reaction to them (we think).  His lips were numb and they were swollen along with his face and throat.  He had a red rash and little welts all over his body.  And he was itching like a mad man.  Seriously, if it wasn't a potential medical emergency I could have made a video and gone viral on YouTube.  Ok, ok... really, he was in bad shape.  Luckily he'd taken some Benadryl and while we were considering running to the emergency room, his body started to calm.  Whew.  Poor Hubby. While Hubby was sleeping on the couch (knocked out by the Benadryl) I monitored his breathing and opened up the decals that I had received a little bit ago from Dezign with a Z .  I actually won a gift card in a giveaway at Mommy D's Kitchen . Sidenote: Dinell at Mommy D's K...
